Litter Raising Details

Our puppies are raised with Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), Early Scent Introduction (ESI) and a mix of Puppy Culture, Avidog and Suzanne Clothier Enriched Puppy Protocol. Pups will be started on potty training, crate training, and the concept of operant conditioning and will have an established training relationship with humans. At 8 weeks we will have a person come in that the pups have had limited interactions with, and we will see how they interact with a stranger based on a variety of skills. Official placement for our puppies is decided between 8-8.5 weeks.

Our goal is to add confident and eager to train puppies into the community and we will do everything possible to get them the best jump start in the first few weeks we have them!

Vet Check & Vaccines

All puppies will receive a vet check up with our reproductive clinic between

7-8weeks of age where they will receive their first round of DHPP.

If you need pup to stay longer than 10 weeks, you will be responsible for payment of future vaccines at 11 or 12 weeks.

Microchip

Vet Check & Vaccines

All puppies will be microchipped with AKC Reunite chips before leaving our home.

When getting a pup from us, please keep in mind that we require in our contract that we stay on the microchip as a back up contact incase you are unable to be reached. If this makes you uncomfortable, we are not the breeder for you.

Genetic Testing

While all of our breeding dogs & outside males we breed to are genetic tested, we are strong believers in knowing what we are producing genetically; breeding prospect or not! All puppies from every litter will be genetically tested between 4-5 weeks of age.

We will never purposefully breed a litter that will possibly be affected, so anything that shows in this test should not change the puppies future needs.

All border collie litters will be baer/hearing tested before leaving.

We do our best to make the best breeding choices and to not produce whiter - faced pups which are more likely to be deaf/unilaterally deaf.
